Our May speaker wants you to get your motor running and head out on LA’s iconic roadways, not freeways! She will take us on a trip to towns as well as historical and whimsical roadside attractions in our local area. Mimi Slawoff is a native Angeleno, mother of three, and a travel journalist who writes for AAA, USA TODAY, and many other print and digital publications. Mimi enjoys photography and writing about local and global destinations. She loves road trips, cruising, skiing, and cultural experiences. Mimi is the author of Historic Los Angeles Roadsides (Reedy Press, 2025), and Oldest Los Angeles (Reedy Press, 2022).
